Induction Motor

An AC inline gear motor is a type of electric motor that combines an AC motor with an inline gearbox (also called a parallel shaft gearbox). This combo is designed to deliver lower speed and higher torque, making it ideal for industrial and commercial machinery that requires controlled movement and power transmission.

Key Features of AC Inline Gear Motors:

  • AC Powered: Runs on alternating current (single-phase or three-phase).
  • Inline Configuration: The motor shaft and the output shaft of the gearbox are aligned, which saves space and allows for efficient power transmission.
  • Gear Reduction: The gearbox reduces the motor’s output speed while increasing torque.
  • Durability: Typically made for continuous use and built with robust materials (like cast iron or aluminum).
  • Compact Design: Especially useful in applications where space is limited.

Common Applications:

  • Conveyors
  • Mixers and agitators
  • Packaging machinery
  • Industrial automation
  • HVAC systems

Specification Parameters (usually include):

  • Power rating: e.g., 0.1 HP to several HP
  • Output speed: e.g., 10 RPM to 300 RPM
  • Gear ratio: e.g., 5:1 to 100:1
  • Torque: e.g., 20 Nm to 1000+ Nm
  • Mounting style: Foot, flange, or face mount
